About Me
With Over 20 years industry experience and a supportive network of professionals, you are in safe hands. I take the time to get to know you to deliver results.
Hello!
I’m Anita Gilbert, the founder of Speakeasy Voice & Accent Coaching.
I trained at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts London (ALRA), on their 3 year Professional Actor’s course and also hold an MA(Dist) from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in Professional Voice Practice.
I worked professionally in TV, Film, Radio & Theatre, before moving into voice and accent coaching full time.
The main focus of my work is helping clients worldwide, to develop their voices for stage and screen; including approaching text, getting them audition ready, helping them explore character once in a role or nailing that tricky accent.
I am a Senior Lecturer in Voice at Leeds Conservatoire and run masterclasses for a variety of actor training Universities and Colleges.
Coaching Credits include
Extra Time, The Little Mermaid, Treasure Island, One Man Two Guvnors, What Fatima Did, Abi (Derby Theatre)
